Who We Are

Dogs Trust, along with our incredible supporters, won’t rest until we make Ireland a safe and happy place for dogs, so we never have to let any dog down. We’re here for all dogs and the people who love them and believe that dogs are a precious part of life and living. They give us so much—companionship, love, joy, wellbeing and assistance!  

What We Do 

Dogs Trust is Ireland's largest dog welfare charity. Since establishing our rehoming centre in November 2009 we have rehomed over 23,000 dogs in Ireland. Working with local authority pounds and animal welfare charities across Ireland, we take in abandoned and neglected dogs who, through no fault of their own, need help getting back on their paws.   

When a dog is in distress, we care for them. When a dog needs a home, we find them a loving family. When an owner needs a helping hand (or paw) – or they just can’t cope, we’re ready to step in. 

For every dog, for every owner, we’re by their side through thick and thin, throughout their lives. The bond they have is special to us. It changes lives, making each day happier and more complete. It’s why we believe A dog is for life.®

Get Involved 

Dogs Trust does not receive any Government funding towards our life-saving work, so none of this would be possible without the continued commitment and generosity of our donors and supporters. We simply could not continue our efforts without them.
